• 1996 the Rotary Club of Hamilton sponsored a Gala dinner at the Brisbane Convention Centre to celebrate the election of our esteemed member Glen Kinross as President of Rotary International for 1997/98. There were over 500 Rotarians in attendance including two past I/Ps Royce Abbey and Sir Clem Renouf who both gave speeches that evening congratulating Glen who was only the fourth Australian in the history of Rotary to be elected to this position!

• 1999/2000 year the Rotary Club of Hamilton finalised the fund raising for the Heather Kinross Memorial Education Fund which was a joint project with Education Queensland to fund underprivileged Schools to carry out projects to assist their students . Our Appeal raised $45000 and the Queensland Government contributed $250000 to get the scheme up and running.
